Traveling to Turkey with Team Epic Journeys was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. Our journey began in Istanbul, where we were immediately captivated by the historic Hagia Sophia and the stunning Blue Mosque. Praying at Hagia Sophia on Friday was a truly different experience. These monumental sites were not just spectacular but also deeply majestic. The Topkapi Palace felt like stepping into a living history book .Our narrator, Mr. K. K. Suhail, brought each historical site to life with his engaging storytelling, making every moment memorable.

Glimpses of Turkey’s charm.

One of the highlights of the trip was diving into the rich flavours of Turkish cuisine. We enjoyed a variety of dishes like Turkish lentil soups and mouth-watering kebabs from Köfteci Yusuf. Each meal was a delightful adventure, showcasing the vibrant culinary heritage of Turkey and making every dining experience delightful. From Istanbul, Our next destination was towards Bursa, where we explored the serene Ulucami (Grand Mosque) and the ancient Ottoman Clock Tower. The views from Tophane Hill is mesmerising.

Delicious Turkish flavours in every bite.

Cappadocia with its picturesque view and landscapes, truly stole the show. We were captivated by the towering Natural Fortress in Uchisar and found out the curiosity in me while entering through the ancient underground city, its tunnels and chambers. The Goreme valleys, with their rock-carved churches, offered a fascinating glimpse into the region’s past, while Avanos charmed us with its rich tradition of pottery making,a craft passed down through generations. On the next mark we had Ankara ,the capital. On the way we visited the Salt Lake and Ataturk Mausoleum-a symbol of the new Ankara. The mausoleum is a notable example of modern Turkish architecture.

Returning to Istanbul by Visiting Camlica Hill with its unique view from Asia to Europe. Next stop was the biggest mosque in Turkey called Camlica Mosque. We also tried fish sandwich named Balık Ekmek under the Galata Bridge which turned out be interesting if you are sea food lover. The Ortakoy district has its own beauty with amazing scenery next to Bosphorus bridge. The Bosphorus Cruise trip through this water channel you will be able to witness the magnificent architecture of the buildings along the river. The local drive to the Taksim area and exploring the streets can be tiring and fun with its shops, cafes, and restaurants is a must visit tourist attractions with Grand Bazaar or Spice Bazaar.
